Her (Elizabeth France's) remit doesn't run to Scotland on FOI,
although it does (as always) on data protection. Scotland may get its own
information commissioner in due course, once we see what the proposed
legislation looks like. The Scottish consultation paper (para. 5.6, p. 38)
said: 'The UK Information Commissioner will...have responsibility for
enforcing the data protection regime in Scotland but will not...be
responsible for enforcing the statutory Scottish Freedom of Information
regime.'
