Subject: E-mail/Internet Policy
I am currently viewing Council Policy on E-mail/Internet usage.
Currently staff are informed that the Council is monitoring specific
activities and through such monitoring the Council has in fact disciplined
several members of staff, some resulting in being sacked from their posts.
What are your views on this and what is your company policy on such
matters? How do you discipline staff?
(i.e. is it one strike and you are out?)
I am trying to determine whether we are OTT and should consider alternative
methods
(e.g. training for staff who specifically do not comply with Council
Policies?).
I would be interested to see your opinions or if you could,
point me in the direction of specific guidance.
Thankyou
Yvonne Sears
