Why is the child only in school on a part-time basis? Surely the
LEA has a responsibility to provide full-time education?
Outside of normal school times (and I hesitate to suggest this!),
has the parent tried Social Services? They may be able to provide
some respite care. In B'ham, for example, there are some 'shared
care' type schemes for children with special needs. Worth a try,
anyway.
