It imperative that the students' views and understanding of their
disability, form an integral part of the needs assessment process. However,
I agree with Eleanor that any additional supporting respect of Dyslexia)
must be the result of an ED Psych report and a thorough and robust needs
assessment. Upholding the integrity, both of academic progress and the needs
assessment process, are important considerations.

Dear All,
I'm looking for a little moral support. A student has little more than a
score from a Bangor test yet is insisting that she is automatically allowed
to use a computer for her examinations. Our policy requires that an Ed
Psych [or equivalent] must recommend that course of action, not the student!
Are we right? Are we being too pedantic?
