Hi
I've also been looking for a way of adjusting the caret or text cursor thickness in Windows apps
for a long time! Office seems to use its own custom caret, so even utilities that can change the
standard insertion point (e.g. in notepad etc) don't seem to work. Closest is the Zoomtext caret
locator - this gives you a radar-type signal when you hit control. Other magification packages
also have ways of identifying the caret, but they don't tend to change the size (I think).
EA, I don't have ME - does changing the text cursor width also work in Word etc?
Messy but quick way to locate the cursor is to hit ctrl shift and left arrow - this highlights the
word to the left of it. Hit right arrow to move it back to where it was.
There are millions of ways to change the mouse cursor etc but this doesn't solve the problem.
Maybe an email to microsoft might be useful (try [log in to unmask])
