Clare,
We found that the European Working Time Directive says workers
are only entitled to leave after 13 weeks doing the same job. As
none of our terms are that long, and support workers don't
generally work outside of term-time, holiday pay was not
appropriate.
The HEFCE scheme we are in, along with Aston University and the
University of Central England, charges the LEA 2 pounds per hour
on costs. I don't know how that formula was arrived at (we inherited
it!), but so far no LEA has questioned it.
