If an organisation is created to run a scheme under the retail crime
initiative (i.e. the organisation is an entity in its own right). Will a
notification by the organisation cover all its members for data processing,
or will members need individual notifications to process the data from the
organisation (e.g. offender/potential offender profiles including
photographs)?
If the answer is the latter then this may effect member recruitment.
Scenario
Dorothy WH Principles Mega Store - will be able to afford membership of the
scheme, and will also have their own data protection notification and
resources.
Granny Smith (the owner run small greengrocer, with no employees) - does not
require data protection notification for any other purpose, and would like
to join the scheme, but is put off due to data protection notification
requirement on top of the membership fee.
