Kay,
I am currently looking at sources of funding available to disabled
students from Britain and Member States who choose to study
ouside of their home countries, but still in Europe.
I received information from the European Advisor at the United
Kingdom Research Office that there are no specific EU funding
mechanisms for disabled students.
Apparently, the EU provides funding for the transitional mobility of
students, regardless of disability through the well known channels
of Socrates, Leonardo and the like.
I have been given the details of a Maria Kokkonen (Leonardo Unit)
at UKRO- her number is 00322 299 2783/ 299 0797.
Also, Michail Skaliotis at Eurostat in Luxembourg for the EU-
00352 4301 32011.
All the best with your research- we must keep in touch about this
as I too am finding information on this subject difficult to find.
Can anyone else out there guide us?!
With best wishes,
Rachel.
