Hi Claire
My immediate reaction was in this day and age with inclusive practices and
whole institution approaches surely it should be your Estates Department who
should be preparing this document with some input from you at the draft
stage?
However, I do appreciate that sometimes it is just great to be asked for
advice / information at all.
Good luck, I don't envy you!

Subject: Estates & access
I have been asked to produce a document for the university, as a
guide to base line provision for access and new buildings. It has to
include exact details i.e. recommended door widths, colour contrast
etc. It also has to be in for wednesday ! I am armed with a copy of
part M of the building regs, the QAA code of practice and skills most
recent info on buildings and access. However I was wondering if
anyone else had produced such a document or have any advice as to
what to include. Web addresses of useful sites would also be great.
Any help greatly appreciate.
