Hi there
MiniDisc recorder/player?
Advantages:
Random access to any track
Small and lightweight (but excellent quality)
Digital quality - can re-write a million times
Approved for transcribing to Dragon Naturally Speaking
148 minutes mono recording, 74 mins stereo (for Music use)
Has line in/line out - foot control works
Has mike and headphone sockets
Disadvantages:
Can't play standard tapes ...
Cost: 199.99 ex VAT seems best offer at the moment
Microphone *not* included
Basically it is equivalent in every way to a tape recorder but better.
You can connect it to a PC soundcard to play back or record if you wish
We have had great success in transcribing to Dragon Naturally speaking
Regards,
Tony
