Learning Development Officer for Students with Disabilities
LEARNING DEVELOPMENT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION
UNIT
Working closely with the Disabilities Co-ordinator and based in
the Learning Development Unit, you will be responsible for
delivering, developing and managing practical support services
for students with disabilities and/or learning difficulties at the
College.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with disability support
staff in other London-based institutions and to promote good
practice in teaching and learning support for students with
disabilities/learning difficulties within the College.
You will be qualified in providing dyslexia support and have
experience in current approaches and issues regarding provision
for students with disabilities and/or learning difficulties in UK
higher education. You will have a commitment to equal
opportunities, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to
communicate effectively with students and senior management.
The post is funded from the recent HEFCE initiative to improve
provision for students with disabilities in higher education and is
for three years in the first instance.
Salary depending on experience will be in the range of 80% of
£21,049 to £26,613 p.a. inc of London Allowance. Suitable for
jobshare.
