Entrance doors - clear opening width of 800mm
Internal doors - clear opening width of 750mm, though 800 or more is preferred.
Clear opening width is measured from the face of the door when open to the opposite frame or doorstop; protuding door furniture may reduce useable opening.

NB More people are using electric wheelchairs these days, which are wider and heavier than standard manual ones.
