If the writing is so bad that no-one used to working with the student
can decipher it, then it would be impossible for external
examiners/markers to do so. Would there be a problem in permitting
the student to utilise a word processor, assuming they can type at a
moderate rate, thereby producing a legible exam script - although I
can see that if there are cost implications of separate invigilation
etc. there might be difficulty about who pays - possibly the student
since it hardly qualifies as a disability.
