Dear all,
This is a question for anyone that has read the Commissioner's CCTV Code of
Practice that was issued earlier this month.
Looking at point 10 in the section on 'Siting the Cameras,' can anyone
explain how the use of a camera image on a sign translates to 'images are
being monitored for crime prevention and public safety' ? Is this
something that has been previously agreed as a standard ? I can see how
use of an image would negate the need for the wording 'images are being
monitored' but not when a specific purpose is intended. Or can it be
assumed that the main purpose will always be for crime prevention and
public safety ?
Thoughts appreciated,
Cheers,
Matt
