Hi,
I hope this list does not change the way it operates. I am afraid I am all
for having lists open and reasonably visible for the participants to be able
to make the best use of the facilities on offer. Close the names, do not
archive/index the messages ...etc. will diminish the benefits that can be
gained. The next step would be to make the list monitored, ... it is all a
bit much.
The amount of messages generated by one spam is disproportionate to the
problem. And here is me too adding to it. Maybe I am too much into
computing, people have attempted to spam my server a few times and I probably
receive more than a dozen unsolicited messages a week.
I have got good at deleting spam and as far as attachments go they go in the
bin always unoppened. Attachments, viruses, proprietary formats to heck with
it.
You all have a delete button and you should all know YOU GET NOTHING FOR
NOTHING, no such thing as a FREE TRIP. Leave the list alone, it is there to
enable - not hinder - communnicaton.
