JISC is the Joint Information Systems Committee - set up by the four higher
education funding councils (Endland, Wales, Scotland, NI) to advise them
and the sector on things like IT infrastructure and exploitation, on
information management, training, provision, on funding and policies for
SuperJANET, etc.
The further education sector are also in the process of joining but take up
across the 4 regions is going at different speeds.
