Alasdair Warwood, former director at Experian, ought to know what he's
talking about - how dare you suggest that i-CD, subsidiary of Experian, is
responsible for all this upset?
Experian is a trusted worldwide company.
Experian, in the USA and in conjunction with NCR: "will provide capabilities
to identify and link individuals using Experian's proprietary linkage
technology, the industry's first permanent and unique consumer identification
tool. Experian's linkage technology enables businesses to consistently
identify individuals over time, regardless of changes to name, address or
telephone number."
In a joint venture in the UK, Experian have announced: "the "neighbourhood
guide" area of the move.co.uk site gives prospective house-hunters access to
a whole range of Experian information, from house price indices to the cars
your neighbours drive, as well as details of the potential risks of flooding
and crime in an area."
And in another UK database: "Charity Contacts is now available for 'animal
welfare' and 'overseas' charity campaigns with five more sectors to follow.
Charity Contacts has been built by taking sector specific donor information
from Occam's Reciprocate database – in each case around 100,000 records –
from Experian's lifestyle questionnaires and deriving a statistical profile
of a typical donor. This profile is then modelled across the whole of the UK
population using the full range of attributes in Experian's 44 million strong
Canvasse database. Canvasse combines geodemographic, lifestyle and financial
data on the whole adult population of the UK."
Don't lose any sleep.
