Sealed envelope - only opened on death - sorted!
(Not very IT friendly, but it works)

Subject: Obtaining information from 3rd parties and pensions
Question -
Under the Fair Processing Code where a data controller obtains information
on a data subject from a 3rd party they have to provide certain information
to the data subject.
Pension fund trustees generally ask pension scheme members who they want
any death benefits to go to. It would seem inappropriate to notify those
nominees that they have been so fingered?
Views/agreed solutions?
