If you are monitoring the IP address associated with particular machines used
by aspecific individual then I reckon it is.
By the way - why do Data Controllers install monitoring software if it is not
to identify specific individuals!!!

Subject: 4.25 Billion IP Addresses - Personal data?
Is an IP address personal data?
An article entitled "Websites that speak your own language" in Network News
11 October 2000, raised the question in my mind.
The article says a product called RealMappingT, which can be used in any
environment where Internet Customer Relationship Management plays a major
role, apparently contains 4.25 Billion IP addresses. See
http://www.realmapping.com/
But be aware you may well leave your IP address behind after the visit!
