The OU Student Association sends out quite a lot of marketing material. We
have a marker to suppress non-OU marketing (OUSA is a separate
organisation), but OUSA have in the past 'piggy-backed' on general OU
mailings, a practice which I have to advise should stop (with high cost
implications). Students do not themselves however distinguish OUSA from the
OU but the only solution I can see to the problem is a more sophisticated (&
more complicated & in my view more confusing) marker system. Do other HEIs
have this sort of problem?
