To corroborate Louise's posting - I heard Cynthia Troupe lecture at Leeds,
and was tremendously impressed. It's feminist scholarship, and it is also a
very careful and original reading of Santa Francesca's biography by
Matteoti. It ought to be important for whoever works with "writings" of
medieval women mystics - the "writings" being usually composed by their
confessors.
