Just another vote for putting a cup of water into the microwave with paper products. With more paper items being made with recycled materials the incidence of there being metal particles in the paper goes way up. In a microwave the metal become super-heated and can set the paper on fire. The water helps absorb some of the energy, lowering the risk of fire. And, if the tubes do catch fire, you've got a handy source of water with which to put a fire out!
