There are 3 methods available for the Retinol Binding Protein
measurement to my knowledge, two in house methods & one commercial Elisa
method;
One of the in-house methods (?light scattering) is being used by
C.P.Price group (Dave Hunane) & the other is being developed/ used
by Sue Twyman at Southampton District General Hospital at Southampton,
UK; This is also ? light scattering on Behring
In addition to these two, there is a commercial Elisa method used in our
Hospital by Dr.Neil Dalton group (paediatrics Natl Kidney research lab;
Phone 0171-955-5000 Ex:4502) with a sensitivity of ~0.5 microgm/L in
contrast to ~5 microgm/L by the light scattering methods.
You can contact these groups for a lead
Hope this is useful
