Dear all,
This turned up in my inbox today. I'm sending it to the group in the light of some of the discussions on Saturday at the conference, mainly to alert people to the existence of the programme involved. (I hadn't hear of it before, I'm afraid.) There's more info at https://www.turing.ac.uk/collaborate-turing/data-science-social-good (a link in the email below), though some of that web page (including the bits saying that applications for various things have closed) seems to be about the programme in summer 2019.
Best wishes,
Kevin McConway

Typically, TMs have worked in industry for a significant amount of time; working in areas such as Computer Science, Machine Learning, Social Science, Statistics, and related areas, and industry experience working on data science problems.
Project Manager (PM): An ideal PM has a strong technical background and exposure to technology or data science projects, and several years of industry or consulting experience. We want people who are used to working in an agile, fast paced, start-up-like environments with experience managing multiple projects at once.
