Hi Luke,
Thank you for taking the time to reconsider the issues in response to feedback from the list. I suggest however, that all the issues in the new list represent the material and discursive effects of power. Women are marginalised, diverse voices are not tolerated and scientific views dominate due to the exercise of power by those who can speak (and be heard, respected, and mindfully responded to) through their positionality by intersections of gender, race, class, economic and social capital, ability, etc.
So my suggestion would be to omit no. 5, and revise the intro to be ‘What do you consider to be the issues of power confronting the PHD-Design list currently?
All the best,
teena
