Yup, Hairy Mclary all the way
But 'Smelly Bill Stinks Again' by Daniel Postgate is a classic
Smelly Bill and his mates get bathed by great Aunt Bleach and her blue rinse friends!
Then there's Dig the Dog' by Alison Maloney - Dig the Dog buries a 'beautiful beefy bone' but Doug the Dog dug and dug under the garden gate and stole it!
My absolute favourite though is 'Some Dogs Do' by Jez Alborough. About a dog who can fly but no one believes him - then his dad lets him into the family secret that mum and dad can fly too - dome dogs don't and some dogs do!!
