This is a good decision, indeed! Then my particular concern
is no longer warranted, since customers have the freedom to
decide which route to take, and libraries may as well decide
which route to offer to their customers (e.g., we use the cooperative
German Electronic Journals Library - EZB as our end user interface,
while we offer SwetsWise as a general ToC database that has also
some full text or links to full text also). Normally, the publishers offer
more choices and a context richer information environment. On the
other hand, Swetswise offers a unified interface, which may also be
an advantage. What is important is that there are now different
options available. (As far as I know that was not always the case,
but may be Swets would have done it if you asked them.)
Best regards,
Bernd-Christoph

We joined the ALJC collection for 2008 and have recently gone through the process of setting up access for some new customers via the IP range method.
