Hi Sophie
Have they tried 'save target as' rather than opening the file? This sometimes works.
Paula.

Subject: [LIS-E-JOURNALS] Accessing Elsevier e-journals via Swetswise
Hi
I wonder if anyone else has come across a problem with off-site access to Elsevier e-journals via Swetswise?
I have received a number of queries from users who have reported difficulties in accessing Elsevier journals remotely. They are able to browse the table of contents on Swetswise but when they try to download a PDF article the internet is just hanging and displaying a blank screen
- it can take over 5 minutes for a full-text article to display (if at all).
It appears that this problems only occurs when attempting to access these titles remotely via Swetswise. I have tried downloading articles directly from ScienceDirect (via IP authentication) and there are no problems downloading these articles.
I would be interested to hear other people's experiences, comments and feedback.
Kind regards
Sophie Price
