Dear All - help!
At Milestones (Hampshire's living history museum in Basingstoke) we have two short activities for visiting school children studying Victorian Britain and Britain Since 1930 respectively, where they have a list of 5 characters and a little information about each one. They also have 5 pieces of luggage which contain a range of items (under a perspex screen) and the children work out which piece of luggage belongs to which character.
We have been using period luggage for these activities; as you can imagine, Victorian luggage which we can use is becoming more and more scarce and both the Victorian and 1930s luggage activities are very well-used!
We have been thinking of changing this activity so the items are in some kind of replica wooden travel box. Does anyone out there have a similar activity and how to they resource it? Or any ideas??!
Many thanks in advance
Ruth
