Reminder: CULTURAL ENTITLEMENT SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY
MLA North West is the regional strategic development agency for museums,
libraries and archives in the North West of England and is core funded by
the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council.
For anyone who has not previously recieved this information we are seeking
applications for the following secondment opportunity:
CULTURAL ENTITLEMENT CO-ORDINATOR
(15 month secondment opportunity Jan 05 – April 06)
This is a full time position within the salary scale PO3-6, points 35-41
£25.938-£30.654 (essential car user allowance is offered for this position)
Cultural Entitlement (CE) is part of a national initiative designed to
forge closer partnerships between museums, archives, schools and LEAs and
is funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and Department
for Education and Skills.
CE aims to raise standards of teaching and learning for pupils aged 5 to16
by developing relevant and innovative programmes and resources that
teachers and pupils can engage with across a range of curriculum areas,
based on the collections and services of the regions museums and archives.
The successful candidate will work within the Learning and Access Team at
MLA North West to coordinate this project with museums, archives and
schools across the region. You will gain experience of working at a
regional level not only with museums, libraries and archives but also with
other regional partners and stakeholders in life long learning across the
North West.
