Starting salary £13,345 - £14,800 pa
Could you be responsible for assisting in the opening of this new and
exciting property to the public and welcoming visitors? You will need
energy, organisation and enthusiasm to help you work with the team and
show the property to its best advantage. Alongside the House and Visitor
Services Manager you will have day-to-day responsibility for the care,
presentation and security and managing the visitor services operations.
The Birmingham Back to Backs will take the National Trust in a new
direction and illustrate the role it can play in the regeneration of
towns and cities. The Property consists of the restoration of the only
remaining courtyard of Back to Back housing in the West Midlands and
aims to illustrate stories of the people who lived there and their
contribution to the growth of the city.
You should have some similar work experience, especially with visitors
and preferably in a historic property. You should also be able to handle
cash and budgets. A commitment to learning and access, working with
volunteers and an understanding of customer care will also be required.
The position will include weekend working.
