Job Title: Administration Officer (with Marketing)
Salary: £17,500 - £21,500
Hours: Full time/37.5 hours
The Building Exploratory, based in Hackney, is a pioneering education centre
focussed around an interactive exhibition. The exhibition explores history,
geology, housing, geography, construction, planning, and the natural
environment. It provides a platform for people to investigate where they
live and is recognised locally and nationally as a key cultural organisation
in the development of the borough.
We work with Hackney schools, community groups, government agencies, housing
associations, professionals in the built environment, and local councils.
We are currently looking for an Administration Officer. This is a key
support role within the Building Exploratory, overseeing all aspects of the
administration, office management and promotion of the organisation. You
will need:
_ Proven administration skills
_ A high level of computer literacy, with experience in using Word and Excel
for Macintosh
_ Experience in marketing and communications
_ Ideally some knowledge of the arts and heritage sectors
_ Excellent communication skills
The ability to multi task and prioritise a busy work schedule is essential.
The position would suit a graduate looking to move into their second job
within the arts and heritage/voluntary sector. Our ideal candidate will have
a minimum of 12 months experience working in a team environment, and seeking
to develop skills and experience in arts administration and marketing.
