Suzanne
NW and N Wales Area Convenor

Venue: The Grosvenor Museum, Chester, Cheshire

Cost (lunch included): £20 GEM members
                                £45 non GEM members

An essential training day for all those involved in project management

Christine Blowman from Creative Marketing for Education and Creative
Marketing (Planning) Ltd. has worked as a project manager with the education
sector for many years and recently with both the library and museum sectors.
She also has experience of marketing/PR and supports organisations,
companies and charities with these services. Most recently, she was the
project co-ordinator for the Resource-funded 'Reading is Crucial - Caring
for Books' project with a number of authorities and library services in the
West Midlands region involving 7,000 looked after children.
She also evaluated the Cultural Taster Programme for Teachers Pilot Project
run by the West Midlands Regional Cultural Consortium Education Task Group.
She consequently was asked to lead a project to further their work with
teachers, and brokered new relationships with regional EBPs. This has
resulted in new partnership work between cultural and education sectors.

Christine will be running a practical day for novices that will give an
insight into the joys and pitfalls of project management.

Please note that the number of places is limited to 25 due to the size of
the room. Places will be allocated on a 'first come first served' basis. If
you need to request a cheque from your organisation, then please ensure your
place is booked before doing so. If demand is great, consideration will be
given to running the session again in the spring 2004.
