Milestones, Hampshire's Living History Museum in Basingstoke, winner of the Social and Industrial History Museum of the Year awards and premier regional visitor attraction of choice is looking for a Demonstrator/Interpreter.
£10,277 - £10,997. One year fixed term contract. 28 hours per week (to include some weekends) . Ref 309.
As a member of the Interpreter Team you will play a key role in bringing Milestones collections alive for visitors. As a natural performer with a passion for history you will have the skills to assist visitors of all ages to interpret their own past in a lively and authoritative manner. You will play a frontline role in welcoming school groups to Milestones and in leading hands-on sessions with pupils. You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a customer service environment. Experience of historical research and interest in collections care will be an advantage.
