Ho ho.
I suppose your NC Science theme is 'Life Processes'..
- Amount of blood required to permanently stain teeth (or indeed how to get
blood out of a white cotton shirt - or was that in Macbeth?).
- Carnivorous animals and why their lifestyle requires ... blood.
- Experiment with canines, molars, etc. to discover their aggressive or
masticatory characteristics.
- Why blood is red and how to change its colour.
- A workshop session to test whether a stake through the heart would kill
ordinary mortals as well as vampires.
- Creatures of the night and what makes them different from people like us
(i.e. test the effect of daylight on eye pupils after a long period in the
dark - or on a teenager after a party)
- Another workshop session - what happens to a body when it's left in a
coffin. Could be tried with small rodents or even a supermarket chicken if
humans aren't available. Would need a follow-up session or two...
Anyone else?

Subject: Dracula!
Hi everyone
We are looking for any ideas that link Gothic, Bram Stoker, Dracula to
science! Anything loosely linked to either or all of these terms would be
useful. We have a 2 hour arts activity session during Science Week in
March, with a school group of 14 year olds. I notice the V&A held some very
exciting Gothic events in October and may still be running them now. Is
there anyone from there that could suggest something?
Gothic + Dracula + art + science = anyone?
