Thanks Robin mailing to a direct person is best - I've found in practice
that in some schools, (usually the smaller ones) it is the administrator who
has access to 'the' computer and teachers don't always get the information
quickly (if at all!) may be different in other regions.
In some of the remote rural areas some schools didn't have a computer but
this was a while ago things might have changed...
Our lea will only send info to teachers via email and generally have found
that the response has been better via other methods e.g. post, telephoning
teachers directly .
Headteachers in Districts sometimes have their own network plus email group
and circulating via a supportive Chair can sometimes work. Emphasis on
sometimes.
Have also been told that contacting govenors about events e.g. cheese and
wine evenings can be productive for some but not sure of the success rate
and best way to do this as haven't tried it! Govenors always seem to have
so much to do.
