TracerLock, a service for monitoring webpages and regularly running
searches, is no longer accepting new users. Another free current
awareness service hits the dust.....

Dear asmcnab,
Due to a change in the focus of TracerLock's services, we are no longer
allowing *new* free accounts to be created. Since you already have an
existing free account, your account will not be affected by this
change. It does mean, however, that new users will no longer be able to
create free accounts. You can continue using our search engine and UseNet
monitoring services for as long as you keep your account open (and you can
log in and switch to "vacation mode" if you ever want a break from emails).
From this point on, when a new account is created, that user is enrolled
in a free 30-day trial of our news monitoring service. News monitoring
comes in two tiers: Standard (includes monitoring of a single term), which
costs $4 per month, and Premium (includes monitoring of five terms), which
costs $19.50 per month. TracerLock monitors hundreds of the most popular
online news sources, with the most trafficked sites being checked every
fifteen minutes, and scans each new article that it finds. If an article
matches your search query, TracerLock emails you the URL of the article and
an excerpt of the matching text. During the 30-day trial, a new user has
Standard (single-term) news monitoring enabled for their account, although
during that time they can pay to upgrade to Premium (five-term)
monitoring. At the end of the 30-day trial, the user will have to enroll
in Standard or Premium news monitoring to continue using TracerLock.
With both the Standard and Premium news services you can create a
personalized list of sites you want scanned for matches. You can also turn
your TracerLock alerts into a simple but effective custom news feed for
your web site or weblog. You will find full details of these new features
at http://www.tracerlock.com
If you would like to enroll in the 30-day trial of news monitoring, you can
go to http://www.tracerlock.com/ and create a new account. You don't have
to close your existing account to do this; you can keep your existing
account while you create the new one. (You just can't turn on the 30-day
free trial of news monitoring for your existing account.)
Thank you and we hope you will continue to find TracerLock useful. You can
always send us feedback at [log in to unmask] and we will almost
always be able to answer within a day.
-Bennett
