Associate professor in architecture and design-based business development wanted for KADK
The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK) invites applications for a permanent full-time position as an associate professor with a particular focus on architecture and design-based business development.
KADK is preparing to further develop educational options that cut across our study programmes, involving other educational institutions. In connection with this development plan, we are looking to fill a newly created post for an associate professor with great entrepreneurial power, who will contribute to developing and supporting research and teaching within architecture and design-based business development. As the post requires development work in relation to the content of the teaching, the position content is phrased relatively broadly. Applicants are presumed to have knowledge about business development as well as experience from creative professions, possibly via close teaching and/or research collaboration.
By strengthening this area, KADK wishes to be able to teach students about global, architecture and design-based business development with significant user involvement and through interdisciplinary collaboration. The teaching is to provide students with knowledge and competences within the field that deals with architecture and design as a key competition parameter in business models. It is also to provide an understanding of how the design method can be applied in management and in development processes aimed at shaping the actual organisation, its vision and business plan.
The vacant associate professorship, which is affiliated with the Institute of Architecture and Design, should ideally be filled as of 1 October 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Deadline for application is June 11th 2017.
