Hello and Happy Monday!
Have you worked on projects with Secondary school pupils, producing a resource that can be used by other Secondary School pupils - whether that be a CD - a booklet, a video, whatever?
Our local African Women's Forum have recently been awarded money from the Heritage Lottery Fund to work with local schools to produce an exhibition and resource on the subject of slavery. The group is therefore working as a central point, co-ordinating the schools and guiding them into producing the right thing.
Pupils will be researching and exploring a variety of themes - different schools focusing on different themes and in different ways, through different subjects, e.g. citizenship/ history/ art.... Its being left as open as possible to allow the teachers and pupils flexibility.
We' like to hear about other projects that have worked in a similar way (just to talk logistics of organising what goes on) - and to see copies of any resources produced by pupils for pupils - on any theme!
I'll happily compile all responses and return them to the list.
Kind regards
Bryony
