Dear all,
Apologies for any intrusion. I would like to draw your attention to the
following event:
Dementia Lab 2018 – Experience, Participation and Design
30th and 31st August 2018
Urban Sciences Building, Newcastle University, UK
Dementia Lab is an event that aims to bring together researchers,
professionals and people with personal experience of dementia to share
stories and learning on issues related to design and dementia. For Dementia
Lab 2018, as well as broadly exploring the role of design and the creative
arts in relation to dementia, we are specifically focusing on issues of
experience and participation.
We have put together a programme of three invited keynote talks by Claire
Craig (Lab4Living, Sheffield Hallam University), Kate Parkin and Anne
Walton (Creative Age Challenge, Equal Arts) and Hester le Riche and Hester
van Zuthem (Active Cues), four panels with short presentations from
researchers and practitioners talking about their projects, and six short
workshops on topics related to design, creativity and dementia.
The event is entirely free to attend and participate in. If you would like
to register for the Dementia Lab, please visit here:
