A critically-appraised topic (CAT) is a one-page summary of a published
paper. A CAT presents the information from the article in a standardised
format allowing the reader rapidly to appraise the study methodology,
results and the key conclusions, without needing to read the original.
As to seeing what they really look like, check out the CATbank at
http://cebm.jr2.ox.ac.uk and the links to other CATbanks around the world.
Thanks for reminding us of the need for clarity at all times.
