A small group I've been teaching has gotten extremely interested in how to
decide when too many flaws exist in a paper which would completely
invalidate (and circular file) it.
What we tend to do is "gestalt" it with some visceral reaction (somewhat
depending upon how desperate we are for the information)
I know meta-analyses score the evidence, but is there anything more specific
written about this topic?
