On Melangell see *Montgomeryshire Collections*, 82, 1994 (number almost
entirely devoted to Pennant Melangell - in particular Huw Pryce, 'A New
Edition of the Historia Divae Monacellae'
She is connected with hares because of a legend that she sheltered one from
a hunter. However, as list members will well know, the hare is well
weighted with symbolism - including figuring in representations of the
Trinity.
