Advanced supervisory skills
22 April, London

A one day workshop for all library and information staff who are experienced
in supervising others and wish to enhance their existing skills. Those who
are already familiar with basic supervision skills and/or who have
previously attended our 'Skills for Supervisors' workshop will find this day
ideal.

How will this event help you?
This is a practical workshop designed to reflect on the effectiveness of our
own communication and how this affects others.

We will identify the key skills of effective communication, and use
practical models to develop assertive techniques to supervise people at
work, either problem solving or coaching to improve performance.

By the end of the day you will have:
*	identified effective communication skills
*	established the importance of working within an assertive framework
*	understood a development/problem solving model
*	have developed practical communication skills.
