The Centre for Information Research and Training, (CIRT) University of
Central England,
is organising the second Study School for public librarians as part of the
BLRIC-funded project
"Developing Research in Public Libraries". (Please note - the content of
this School is different from that of the school held last October).
It will be held at the Chamberlain Hotel, five minutes by taxi from
Birmingham New Street Station (the Hotel has a
24-hr guarded private car park -
£2.00 per 24 hrs).
The school itself is free, but meals and accommodation have to be paid for,
as follows:
Friday lunch £6.00
Friday dinner £10.00
Bed & breakfast Friday £45.00 (double room for the price of a
single)
Saturday lunch £6.00
Focus of the School.......
.......will be on sharing research with others - working with others,
disseminating findings, discussing ideas and outcomes and making
comparisons.
Feedback from the School will be important in informing the outcome of the
Developing Research in Public Libraries project.
