Dear Aida:
I can't speak to any revived performances of mystery plays, etc., in the
19th-century, but there was a burst of scholarship on the topic. One
representative and still available specimen is Edmond de Coussemaker,
Drames liturgiques du moyen age (texte et musique) Paris, 1860; available
in a facsimile edition, New York: Bronde Bros., 1964.
I'd be interested in hearing of anything you churn up, though.
