Lecturer in Social Science and Medicine (clinical or non-clinical)
Applications are invited for this challenging new post to help drive our
new agenda for research and postgraduate teaching. Our programme of work
focuses on theories, models and methods for understanding the social and
population basis of health and interventions to promote health. It
includes strategies to influence and inform policy makers, public health
professionals and social and health agencies in developed, developing and
transitional countries.
Candidates are likely to have a background in a public health or social
science discipline and a commitment to new public health agendas.
An honorary appointment with a health authority trust will be arranged for
a clinical appointee.
Non clinical lecturer scale A (Pounds 16,655 to £21,815) or scale B (Pounds
22,726 to Pounds 29,048) plus London Allowance of Pounds 2,134. Clinical
Lecturer (Pounds 22,040 to Pounds 38,100) plus London Allowance of Pounds
1,505.
