This is to invite you to visit an online bibliographic database,
Renaissance Liturgical Imprints: A Census. This project now provides
information on approximately 8,900 books printed before 1601. Most of the
information derives from onsite inspections of books in numerous libraries in
the U.S. and Europe, and other information relies upon published catalogs and
other modern bibliographic sources. The project is directed by David
Crawford (University of Michigan), the Associate Directors being James
Borders (University of Michigan) and Barbara Haggh (University of London).
The project has been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities,
and online access is a result of collaboration with the University of
Michigan Library. Work is still in progress.
The best means of access is through the World Wide Web at
http://www.umich.edu/~davidcr. Users with TN3270 should locate the database
at mirlyn.lib.umich.edu. Others may find it at mirlyn.telnet.lib.umich.edu.
These addresses lead you to the first screen of the University of MIchigan
Library's online catalog, mirlyn. Type "relc" when you reach that screen.
