Can I suggest Pride Month and Mental Health Awareness Week? There’s probably loads more, good luck collating them!

Subject: Arts/Cultural dates in 2019

Hi Gemmers,

I’m working with an illustrator to create a “Crafty Planner”, which is essentially a wall planner containing all cultural/awareness dates in 2019 so our craft club network can plan their creative activities ahead of time

I’m thinking of dates such as…

  *   London Art Week

  *   The Big Draw

  *   Black History Month

  *   Refugee week

  *   Childrens Art Week

….As well as your standard Christmas, Eid, Hanukkah, Halloween etc

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks a bundle! When it’s ready I’ll share the finished calendar with you all (will be end of August)

Hi Christine and GEM,

Would there be any interest in a virtual National (or International) Co-Production Network? We could open it up to other creative sectors too. I know there are community and participation groups out there already and networks that physically meet, but something like this email chain or on Facebook...

But, to answer your question Christine - we have a Co-Production Network in the East of England which we're currently re-branding as the Creative Communities Network. While not the same as formal training, we do a lot of peer support and sharing of experience etc. Your team would be very welcome to join us at our September meeting: http://essexmdo.com/2018/07/16/creativecommunities/

I'd also really recommend watching Nina Simon's keynote from Museum Next a couple of weeks ago and trying the new OFBYFOR ALL evaluation tool as a team:

A couple more worth adding/considering:

· Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month [June every year]

· International Roma Day [8th April]

Good luck with the list,

Hi Rosie,

Here at Manchester Art Gallery we celebrate these -

World Mental Health Day, October 10th

Creativity and Wellbeing Week 10-16 June 2019

Great idea, by the way.

  *   London Art Week

  *   The Big Draw

  *   Black History Month

  *   Refugee week

  *   Childrens Art Week

….As well as your standard Christmas, Eid, Hanukkah, Halloween etc

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks a bundle! When it’s ready I’ll share the finished calendar with you all (will be end of August)
