Hi Liz,
I haven't heard of this happening and I'm not really sure why the school is asking you this information (as the only data I imagine you have is of the school coming rather than the individual pupils).
I wrote a blog about GDPR a little while ago, which has example privacy statements - https://essexmdo.com/2017/10/20/what-on-earth-is-gdpr-and-how-does-it-effect-you/
Kind Regards,
Eleanor

Subject: GDPR
Dear all
Is anyone else starting to get requests from schools regarding GDPR and being asked to complete data protection assurance statements and forms of various types (and lengths)?
We'd love to know how other organisations are approaching this and also if any of you would be willing to share examples of privacy statements that would be very helpful. I'm happy to collate all responses to share with the group.
Best wishes
Liz
